MHS NEWS AND UPDATES

Club Rush

Join the Club!

Last week, Millennium celebrated Club Rush. This exciting lunchtime activity showcases the student organizations and clubs on campus as we welcome new members. Student clubs at Millennium include Gay Straight Alliance, Fashion Club, Asian Pacific Islander Club, Speech and Debate, Forensics Club, Orgullo Latino, Gaming Club, Black Student Union, and many more!

Rushing to Take Part

Clubs at MHS can be interest based, identity based, or activity based. Didn't see a club you wanted at Rush? Want to start that club? Find a faculty member willing to be the adult sponsor of your club, then tell Ms. Takeuchi, our Activities Director, you would like to start a new club. We will have a Club Rush 2.0 at the beginning of second semester, and you can launch your new club then!
Minga, digital hall pass and behavioral management system

Minga Student Management System

Millennium utilizes Minga, an all-in-one campus management platform for K-12 schools, to centralize student and school tools like digital hall passes and behavioral management. If a student receives an RPC referral in school, Minga will automatically notify the student's parents. Beginning Monday, this notification will be through both email and text message. The text is auto-generated and explains the restorative practice consequence your child has received for the behavior they have exhibited, with dates that the restoration will occur. If you receive a message from Minga and are confused about the content, reach out to Mr. Young, myoung@tracylc.net, Mr. Woods, lwoods@tracylc.net, or Miss Lamanna, blamanna@tracylc.net.

Student Spotlight

Lexi Duncan

Lexi Duncan

Lexi Duncan is ready for the Fall season - the marching season, that is! This junior is currently in her second year as the drum major of our award-winning Falcon Marching Band and Color Guard, which she been a part of since 7th grade. Lexi's favorite memory of last year's competitive season was earning the Drum Major award at Championships. This year's marching show is called "Erendira," and tells the story of an Aztec princess. Asked if it was going to be a Falcon sweep again at Champs this season, Lexi says, "Always!"
Junior Ares Araujo

Ares Araujo

Our Athletic Director, Coach Reyes, says, "Ares Araujo had a great game as the starting quarterback for Falcon football at our first home game last week. The junior had three touchdown passes and led the team in rushing!" We look forward to seeing more from this talented scholar-athlete. You can cheer on Ares and all of our MHS Football team tonight at 7PM against Waterford High on Waterford's home field, or catch them next Saturday at 7PM, playing Modesto Christian in our home game at Tracy High.
